I read a lot of manga, but this is the first extended western comic I’ve read. I’d be willing to share my thoughts
Since people are just being shocked and skeptical about you finishing the comics in 24 hours im gonna ask some question: How did you like the ending? Was it satisfying or?
Bruh the whole series in 24 hours? It took me like 3 days just to finish the first compendium.
feel like you do yourself a disservice doing this tbh. i just remember seeing so many gorgeous panels that i would just stare at for a several minutes to take in the gravity of the events
I read it all over a weekend and it felt like I was pushing it. I can’t imagine doing it in one day.
Yeah, same. I’m a strong reader - there’s no way this was a quality read-through. I do appreciate the enthusiasm though for sure.
Manga readers love to speed read. Not the sort of thing you can do with American comics in my opinion.
That seems like a bit of an over-generalization for both, frankly.
It is a generalization. There are exceptions like anything else.
That’s why I specified over-generalization. The exceptions (IMO) are numerous enough that it’s not much of a rule.
In terms of reading material, outside of shounen and some comedy, I’d say most (or, at least, a significant amount) of manga would have one miss out on details if they were to speed read it.
In terms of readers, most I know/have conversed with take about 40-60 minutes to read an average manga volume, which isn’t exactly speed-reading.

I, too, got through all three compendiums in less than 24 hours. It was probably about 16 hours of reading in all, split between a Saturday night and a Sunday afternoon.
I just did this hiding from my family (except it was mostly Friday night - Saturday afternoon.
How Invincible do you think Mark is after finishing it?
Feels totally possible tbh, the first 2 compendiums took awhile to get through but I almost finished the 3rd one in a single sitting

Idk how you did it, I started on Wednesday and finished compendium’s 1 and 2 by late Saturday.
Damn it took me 2 months to read it all
I literally did the same and finished it about 10 minutes ago. It definitely was worth it. I was surprised how quick it ended but I enjoyed the ending definitely
