Kalani keeps saying Asuelu cheated 12 times, but she also alluded to his ‘cheating’ in America as online chats with cam-girls? She makes it sound like he physically cheated 12 separate times. What’s the real story here? I know chatting with girls could be considered cheating…but I feel like she’s intentionally making it sound like it was ‘physical’ cheating, to justify her own behaviour. Thoughts?

      It’s cheating in my world.

If you choose to see it as a acceptable thing to do when in a committed relationship that’s fine for you as long as your partner agrees. But that does not determine for everyone whether it’s cheating or not.

I agree that it’s not an acceptable thing to do. However, I disagree that it’s “cheating”. That word has a very specific meaning.

For example, it’s also not acceptable for your husband to scream and shout at you. But that’s not cheating.

We can’t just label very unacceptable behavior as “cheating”.

          From Merriam-Webster:

: to practice fraud or trickery denied the accusation that he cheated b : to violate rules dishonestly cheat at cards cheating on a test 2 : to be sexually unfaithful —usually used with on was cheating on his wife

I think the real issue is each person’s definition of “unfaithful.”

The first definition is a different use of the word than the one we’re talking about. That context refers to cheating like in a game of monopoly. I’m sure you know this.

The second definition doesn’t apply either. Asuelo wasn’t sexually unfaithful either. They’re strippers not prostitutes.

But that’s your definition of unfaithful, not necessarily Kalani’s or Asuelo’s. I personally don’t think watching porn or strippers is cheating, but in a relationship where people view that as unfaithful, it would be. Some people don’t view messaging people outside the relationship in intimate ways as being unfaithful, some people do. My point is that there isn’t one specific thing that comprises unfaithful/cheating behavior.
