Any Pratchett novel.
Any Pratchett novel.
“Let’s be about it” from the Honour Harrington novels.
If I like them, yes. I want to support good authors and encourage them to write more ;)
I never expected Anthony Bourdain to write murder mysteries.
I never expected Anthony Bourdain to write murder mysteries.
I actually get to do that.
I have a TBI, and I found that if I leave a book alone for long enough (7-8 years), when I re-read it, I have forgotten it to the point where things don’t even “feel familliar” when I am reading them. This has led to me developing a system of coloured dot stickers on the spines to let me know when the last re-read was and if it’s safe to pull them off the shelf again.
On my list of re-reads.
All Terry Pratchett books, Lord of the Rings, Anne McCaffrey’s PERN novels, The count of Monte Cristo, Just about all of Elizabeth Moon’s books, Thomas King’s ‘Indians on Vacation’,
Small Gods - Sir Terry Pratchett
Red Rising.
It was VERY predictable. So much so, that it seemed like the author took Harry Potter, Ender’s game, and the script for the original Total Recall, fed them into an AI, and just published the result without adding any original content.
Not my *favorite* author, but I don’t think I will read Eddings ever again after learning about his history.
I don’t think I will ever break up with Sir Terry Pratchett, it’s been more than 20 years, and I still rank him at the top of my bookshelf.
I was sick with the flu, and my dad got me “The Stand”.
