I agree with some of these points, especially the subplot stuff (which I feel could have easily been moved to another episode, save the Debbie stuff which fits really well thematically with this ep)

But, I loved the Nolan and Mark stuff, especially the bit where Nolan sees the dead Thraxans. It doesn’t need to be one-to-one with the comics dialogue wise, it still worked brilliantly, JK Simmons knocked that dialogue out of the park. I also loved the fight in spite of it’s differences. I like Mark holding his own slightly better against Viltrumites.

Bro, Invincible War will probably not be this season. It’ll likely end with the Angstrom stuff and maybe do the Sequid invasion.

As someone who loved the episode I agree with the sub-plots thing. The Eve stuff easily could have been last episode or next episode and it doesn’t really… go anywhere in this ep. The Donald stuff also could have been shifted, although I find that sub-plot very interesting.

I think Mark’s sudden burst of strength against Thula was just that. She was overconfident and he got a burst of rage/adrenaline. I like him being better matched against Viltrumites this early personally.

Nolan’s rant to Mark about him caring about the Thraxan’s is easily JK’s best voice acting moment in this show. What a great performance for a great character

You joke, but Miles Teller as Mark isn’t a bad shout tbh.
