I believe that Kelsey read between the lines. His exact description of her noted the change and Kelsey is sharp enough to chalk that up to Bojack (the choking while filming Philbert was publicly known but laughed off on the talk show circuit as them being good actors). I could definitely see Kelsey pitching to Gina specifically calling out that she knows and understands and using that as a way to establish trust.

I don’t think they had demonstrated much sexual chemistry, but they definitely had what each other needed. Their personalities are very different, but complimentary. PC is mostly charisma and drive; Judah is quiet competence and organization. PC will go all out for anybody but herself, and Judah will anticipate and meet her needs. They’re also both cool being in a triad with work as the third partner, which is something they both need.

I could have stood it being just enough shorter that they axed the whole Pickles/Pogo story arc.
