So in season 1, the Maulers say that they have experienced a time where they knew which was the clone and which isn’t and said it is better when they don’t. Bottom line, the clone is made into a servant.

With the remaining Mauler having been scarred, do you think the show will have this happen or will he heal himself first before cloning himself again?

I’m curious how this will develop because of the changes made in the show.

I got the feeling this already happened before season 1. They explained to Robot how knowing who the clone is “never works out well.” Maybe we’ll see it in a flashback, but it sounds to me like they already learned this lesson.

I thought they were going to drop this since they already explained the cloning dynamic in Season 1, but since they showed one of the twins surviving deformed, we’re 100% going to get this scene played out.

Probably not exactly like this. They could play around with the concept. Maybe he makes the clone and then kills himself since he knows they need two non disfigured clones. Or maybe he makes the clone be disfigured too

Would be very strange of them not to explore this dynamic given how well established the “clone v original” dynamic is.

I think the Maulers are going to be a lot more prominent in the show than the comics, and this scene is too important to skip for these characters who are supposed to be getting more screen time than before

Well we know both are actually a clone because the original is at an undisclosed location and only sends his clones out to do crime believing they are the original.

But why wouldn’t the show do this anyway?

Of course they already have the one Mauler half burned from the explosion why wouldn’t they continue on that minor storyline?

Sorry but what’s going on? I thought the Maulers made a point that NOT KNOWING who the clone is was vital for their work?!

And now he is like “man that will work out great” as if somehow he couldn’t have put a fking red dot on the forehead of the clone before having the memory duplication to have a clear distinction since forever…

One gripe I have is being a clone doesn’t inherently make you inferior especially if one dudes face is totally scarred. I hope they talk about that a bit

It doesn’t matter how one looks. What matters is that he was made by him.

I think until this point each Mauler thought not only that they were the original between the two current Maulers, but that they were actually the original Mauler and who had never died. Each death always happened to be the clone because they were inferior. A single uninterrupted chain of consciousness. Now the clone knows it isn’t possible for them and if the scarred Mauler dies every subsequent clone will know they’re a clone even if they’re the original of the current two.
