These past two episodes have been mind-numbingly boring. The writing is way off. The voice acting is lazy, feels as though they are half awake.
Also, why does the animation look so off? The framerate suddenly jumps to 30fps when Shapesmith visits the Guardian HQ. The Atom Eve episode had much better animation.
They ended Ep2 with the fucking lizard league. Who gives a fuck about the lizard league? It feels as though the show ended when Nolan left & were just left with filler.
I enjoyed S1 & The Atom Eve special. Don’t know what went wrong. Anyone else feel the same?
I don’t know why OP deleted their post, but I just finished season 2 without reading the comic, and unless they seriously come through with the next part and bring the qaulity back to what season 1 was this season will be certified dogshit and anyone who tells you otherwise is on pure copium and I really didn’t care about the animation the downbeat moments of this season were the best parts the animation and fights were fucking horrendous and meh at best unlike season 1 if I could go back in time I’d just read the comic instead for this season.
They’re setting up a ton of shit for later. Filler implies you can just skip it and not miss anything important. Do you watch the first 20 minutes of a movie and complain that it’s filler?

Its a terrible excuse this isn’t DBZ you only got about 10 episodes to tell a story. It feels like there is two shows, one following the actual interesting plot and another trying to set up contrivances to check off the part where they are required to say ‘DRUGS ARE BAD KIDS’.
Thats fine and dandy until the show gets axed like every other streaming platform exclusive.
I feel like and old man complaining about “kids these days” but goddamn since when did everyone’s attention spans just fucking plummet to the point where every episode of a TV show that doesn’t have earth shattering reveals or climactic battles is considered filler? Have people forgotten that you have to have lay ground work and build up to climaxes in order for the big moments to be impactful? I swear if these episodes are considered filler by people I don’t know how you’re supposed to enjoy the majority of shows/books/movies/comics.
All of the best stories have downtime where less big stuff happens and things are more slow, gradually building up to the big payoff moments. I think having constant stimulation from the internet has rotted people’s brains and I hope writers and showrunners don’t listen to people who spew this shit

The first season was really good… This season has been really hard to watch. I know this is based on a comic, but it feels like different writers and the new writers are using crayons.

It’s starting off very slow, but we’ll see what happens. If they choose to use this season as mostly set up for future seasons I don’t know how the casual can will react to that.

This show is a failure. Its essentially nothing.
And at the pace it’s going it will take 35 years for the whole show to be released.
Meanwhile they’re casting people in their 80s as voice actors. Its a failure and very cheaply done in my opinion. And is about as traditional to the storyline as the tv show the boys is for its source material.
I’m mad I wasted hours of my time on this dumb show when I could’ve just read the comic.
I’m finding it a little boring. The voice acting is very inconsistent and just terrible in spots. It has this odd mix of Saturday morning cartoon actors and big name Hollywood actors. So you get this jarring mix of characters that talk normally with these other characters that sound like they’re off to pony land or are about to combine captain planet.
