MCU has some of the best castings, they rarely fail in that department
This has got to be a troll. Their track record in the past few years has been nothing short of horrendous.
Can you give examples of major characters being badly miscasted
For the people that don’t know this character is constantly forgotten by everyone. He participated in many battles as an Avenger, but gets forgotten shortly after. If they go down the route that he was an Avenger, that would mean he was there during the Battle of New York, Sokovia, Maybe Civil War, Infinity War and Endgame.
Imagine if he ripped someone in half in gory details in a Disney movie.
Black Bolt.
For people who don’t know who Sentry is
His real name is Bob Reynolds and he’s an insanely op hero who has the power of a million exploding suns he also has a dark entity inside him called The Void which can destroy universes and it even scares the Hulk he does have a weakness he has a plethora of illnesses, which include anxiety, depression and extreme agoraphobia he’s such a depressing and interesting character but like a lot of great and interesting characters they become badly written in later series
Here’s a reading order https://www.comicbooktreasury.com/sentry-reading-order/
There’s going to be a new limited series involving him coming December 6th
You’re also forgetting the most important thing. Sentry doesn’t exist. Robert Reynolds may not even exist. Sometimes Bob Reynolds is a volunteer test subject, sometimes he’s a drug addict who broke into a lab and shot up random chemicals, sometimes he’s merely the human persona of an evil god.
Sentry has this whole bootstrap paradox thing going on. Did he always exist? Or did he come into existence later and retcon himself into being always there?
Some comic runs go with that and others play him straight as “Superman but Marvel”. Sentry as a character has a huge amount of swing when it comes to quality. If the MCU wants to introduce Sentry, they need to tread a fine line if they want to avoid another Captain Marvel.
He’s a reality warper who self actualized his own existence. He stood up against the Molecule Man (who destroyed and rebuilt the multiverse during Secret Wars), and took the combined might of nearly every hero and villain magically enhanced by the things that give Asgardians their power to fight him to a draw.
Also, he’s patient zero for Marvel Zombies (also by Kirkman)
they need to tread a fine line if they want to avoid another Captain Marvel.
You mean avoid another character to headline a movie grossing a billion dollars?
Feels like a weird thing to avoid.
Also was a heavy drug addict which led to him getting super powers in the first place .
I usually dislike changing the race of characters as I want them to look like the character they play. However even though Yeun couldn’t look more different than Sentry I kinda think it might work. Plus I don’t have much attachment to Sentry or his look so there’s that.
Yea sentry is not that known and personally i dont think his race is a part of his character sonit doesn’t really matter
why is this in the invincible subreddit
I’m very conflicted, Sentry is one of my faves and I like Steven but this feels like a terrible casting choice lol plus I don’t trust the current MCU to do him justice
Edit - its probably fake anyway
lol yeah totally fake dude! not like this was already known for ages
/s
Yep turns out it’s true, thank god for your hilarious comment though truly saved the day bravo
Well at least I don’t have wait 5+ years for him cool shit
How much longer until we’re back to zombies again?
I love the sentry origin so much
Sentry was a literal god, then You have Anti-man (Conner Sims), sworn enemy/friend of Blue Marvel, that made him look like a baby.
Is he gonna be in (TITLE CARD)?
Is he playing Sentry or just Bob?
Okay.
Not a good casting imo
He can defo play a good sentry no doubt hes an good actor he just doesn’t look the part he gotta gain lot of muscle tho good thing the movie is delayed
