BoJack says, “I need you to tell me that I’m a good person. I know that I can be selfish and narcissistic and self-destructive, but underneath all that, deep down, I’m a good person, and I need you to tell me that I’m good. Diane? Tell me, please, Diane. Tell me that I’m good.”

That was the most heartbreaking part for me. The fact that with each passing moment of silence, that fantasy gets further and further away. Because that fantasy is only attainable for good people. 🥺

Uh, we do not all relate to boajck here. Might be a sign that you need to work on yourself. I personally just found it cringe. Understandable cringe, but still cringe.

I respect your opinion, but I disagree with your tone. Bojack Horseman is a show that resonates with many people who have faced similar challenges or emotions as the characters. It is not a sign of weakness or failure to relate to them, but rather a sign of courage and honesty to acknowledge one’s flaws and vulnerabilities. I find the show insightful, compelling, and sometimes cathartic. It is not cringe, but rather human.

Is what I could say to you but… What I reeeeeeaaaaaaally want to say is

      “Suck a d!ck dumm b!tch!!!”

What an asshole. You don’t get to judge people, and make them feel horrible about something they probably already feel horrible about. “Might be a sign that you need to work on yourself”, who the hell are you to decide that. You have no idea the reason why people may relate to bojack, and u shouldn’t assume, and make people think that they needs fixing, when you don’t know the first thing about them, or if they have done anything bad towards someone at all. I relate a lot to Bojack, but not because he hurts the people around him. Because he hurts himself. And there’s probably a lot of viewers like me who relate to the self harm. Do u want them to think that there’s something wrong with who they are too? Do you want them to think that they are being judged because they feel bad about themselves? Do you want them to believe that they aren’t good enough, until they’ve “worked on themselves” and are “fixed”? Do you really wanna give them yet another reason to harm themselves?

People really lack empathy and understanding of others that they don’t relate to, which is so foreign to me. You know you shouldn’t really think that you are better than others, just because you don’t have these kinds of self-image problems that bojack deals with. Tbh I would advise you to maybe go see a shrink or someone about that whole lack of empathy thing. And if you don’t think that you are the one in the wrong here, I feel like that might be a sign that you need to work on yourself a lot more than anyone else in this chat actually
