The point of shoes is to protect our soft fragile feet from the damage done to them by walking around on them all day. Nolan doesn’t have to worry about that. He is never going to have his feet hurt by anything he steps on. Nothing he could make shoes out of would be tougher than his skin. For him, wearing a pair of shoes would be like the rest of us wearing thick, padded gloves all the time. It’s ridiculous and more trouble than it’s worth.
