I see how Danielle’s language immediately went to fear when Yohan was visibly anger. I swear big men of certain complexions have to constantly pay attention to how they’re perceived. They’re never allowed to just exist and be upset or sad or mad.

But the important thing to remember is: Danielle lied, forced him to leave his job, didn’t support the butcher, and has no plans on working in the future either while sneering at him. Yohan has his issues but Danielle deeply disrupted his life and upended it in a way that people in poverty simply can’t have. Every dime she took from him was removed from the family. She’s so dense she doesn’t understand that this isn’t about him wanting the money, he needs it. She has wasted his employment and possible future employment, uprooted him and has left him worse off in every way. This was a vacation for her, for him it’s life.

Mary aka AGGY gets on my nerves, she truly does, her trying to be defensive of Brandon’s mom reaction to the shack homes in the Phillappeans made me feel like ok Aggy if there’s nothing wrong with that living condition why didn’t you get a home similarly built so you could have had money left over from what Brandon had been sending for the build? End of the day while it’s not right to look down on how anyone is living, Aggy herself isn’t even trying to live in a shack if she doesn’t have to, hence why she had a HOUSE built and not a shack with plumbing. The false attempting to hug claim😒. The playing victim as if she’s attempting to interact or build any relationship with Brandon’s mom🙄. I’m just not a fan and never have been.

I’m confused - are we forgetting that Danielle straight up lied to Yohan in the beginning by promising to bring him to America and waited until she got there to suggest living in the DR instead - lying further by saying it’s a trial period when she knew she wanted to stay there? Why do y’all not think she would also lie to him about being more of a provider/him not having to worry since she can afford a better DR life? She gave false promises and gets what she deserves in this.

Watching Brandon do things to his mom that he knows she’ll hate is such a passive aggressive way of dealing with his resentment towards her.
