(Semi unrelated) I honestly don’t get why some people are complaining about Lucan being “fat”. Like even putting the strongman build argument aside, what does it change? If nothing else it adds some flavor to his design compared to the rest of the viltrumites who seem to be more lean

Maybe it’s just because I don’t take in a lot of other Seth Rogen content, but I genuinely think he’s good in this role. His voice works for Allen.
I read that scene in a different way. I think Nolan didn’t intervene because he wanted to see how mark fared against extra terrestrial threats, which are very different from something to be found on earth. Keep in mind he was still intending at that time for mark to be a part of his takeover of earth. That also goes along the lines of one of the things I love about invincible: the strongest beings in the universe aren’t necessarily even all from earth, whereas in marvel and dc, earth is narratively and sometimes literally the center of the universe.

They won’t make those bugs nearly as fuckable, I can tell you that much for certain
They are doing a good job of weaving the plot together from the comic format to the television format.
