Funny thing is, the Supereme Lizard from episode 2 was voiced by a guy that voiced Megatron in War for Cybertron (the game).

Dude after having read the comic, until I watched the episode, I always thought it was Thadeus, not Thaedus. I’m too busy mentally kicking myself for doing that to do any transformers references.

Wtf this is new knowledge to me too. Wonder how many other people didn’t even notice.

      MAJOR SPOILER DO NOT READ:

! It’s kind of in line with Viltrumite lore tho. Like how in the comic Nolan says Nolan is close to his given name, but it’s pronounced more like “Now-lawn”. So maybe Viltrumites all have names that are similar to humans? Interesting detail I never thought about until now. !<

      Wait… it isn’t Thadeus?

Not Thah - dee - us? But Thay-duhs? What the FUCK

No not really. Levy is pronounced differently because Kirkman decided it should be pronounced differently from literally anyone else that has the name Levy.

Thaedus is pronounced differently because people can’t spell.

It’s not though? That one could go either way and was a matter of pronunciation. If you spell Thaedus’ name correctly, there isn’t much wiggle room for pronunciation.

Literally everyone in the discussion thread was calling him Optimus. Also, you’ve spelt his name wrong

Talking about this guy, does nobody talk about the fact that he looks like a human/viltrumite. Like, alien races clearly didn’t even know about the existence of humans until recently, so viltrumites are the only ones that look like that. The council clearly doesn’t even suspect that he might be a viltrumite despite him looking exactly like one, so what’s the deal? Is the galaxy simply full of human like races or is everyone simply stupid?

Yeah I was immediately like… wait is this guy viltrumite. I guess he is judging by the end of the ep.

I knew he was being voiced by Peter Cullen, and I still went nuts when he started talking. When I watch this again with my friends I know the episode will immediately devolve into us all screaming “AUTOBOTS, ROLL OUT” whenever he moves

So I’m all about Optimus Prime, but this role reminds me more of Cullen’s Coran (Voltron). I guess we’ll see how it plays out.

    I mean, it’s because his name isn’t Thaddeus (thad-ee-us), it’s Thaedus (thay-dus).

My friend said after episode (his guess, but pretty much a bullseye):

!“It’s pretty obvious that Thaedus is Viltrumite spy. He’s only human/viltrumite looking alien out there. Are those aliens stupid?”!<
