I’m first generation Chinese American. Taking care of one’s parents is a cultural norm. My dad’s parents were very poor. Before marrying my mom, he used his small grad school stipend in the US to send money monthly to his parents in Taiwan. This continued after he married my mom, even though there was only one income and a small grad school stipend. Income can be tight but you find a way to make it work. My dad would rather starve himself than not send money to care for his elderly parents. I don’t know if they talked about it in advance but my mom knew my dad’s family background. My guess is, it was almost a given. Sending money home to Taiwan continued after they had 3 kids. Even after my dad passed away when I was young, my mom continued to send money every month to his parents. This was out of love and respect for my dad; and cultural veneration for ancestors and elders. As for Ashley and Manuel - i think he should have told her about any family financial obligations in advance. She also knew that he had kids and supported his family so she also could have asked.

I just posted about this. People have been saying they think she looks much older than 47yo. I found an article about her, published in 2014, where she says she is 32yo.

If she is 47yo now, 9 years ago she should have been 38yo, not 32yo. So how old is she really?

I had a similar thought - not unlike a teenager who gets pregnant to have someone to love them unconditionally without understanding that’s not the way healthy parenting works

She added several wedding photos to her IG after this post went up; I think it warmed and helped lift her mood to see it. I’ve said this a few times before - there’s a part of me that empathizes with her. She could use some balance with all the negativity she receives. I actually feel a little bad about my post- not that I’m a converted fan. I’m just aware she’s human and troubled with a difficult upbringing and not a lot of tools or awareness of how to cope

She won’t benefit much from therapy if it’s forced / mandated. She has to at least believe she needs to mature / grow and she appears too defended right now

There are times when she is humble? 🤔 I guess a couple times she was self deprecating about physical appearance but as many selfies she has in bikinis and dancing, I don’t think it’s a real concern of hers

Hmm ok - I don’t know anything about how it works. If she was getting frequent and/or the same number of requests wouldn’t she want to charge the same as Brandan ($15 vs $10) each? It would be the logical thing to do if she really wants the cash, which it seems like she does

I was talking about the same thing with someone else. Too bad for her cuz Brandan’s cameos are $15 and he has had 23 requests; hers are $10 and only two people asked for one. She won’t be making much money without him 😅

She said in the live of them arguing that he pushed her and seemed to be suggesting he beats her up. It sounded like what happened was, she was mad about him playing on the PS5 all the time and was about to throw it. He tried to stop her and when he took it back, she got pushed onto the bed. I don’t think he actually smacks her around - pushing isn’t acceptable either. I think it happened accidentally in the fight over the PS5. She tried to suggest he does it all the time …
