It honestly sounds like she was never as committed to this as him (and I don’t blame her) which is why she didn’t tell her parents. She probably saw this might not be her ideal situation and want to return home, so she left the door as open as possible.

While I entirely agree with everyone who’s saying she couldn’t have known about the insane shit like cow poop, I do think she could have done more to be an active participant in educating herself on the culture. Living somewhere for a year doesn’t teach you all the stuff you should know to live there forever. It doesn’t look like she knew the first things about weddings which is something she could have asked about and looked up or talked to locals while she was there. She doesn’t know a lick of the language. That fact alone makes me wonder how much of that year was spent inside or only with TJ and his family instead of exploring India as a whole to decide if it’s somewhere she’d like to live.

I honestly don’t think she’s too bright just in general and that played right into TJ not telling her about his family’s extreme practices and beliefs to create the perfect storm.

When he said something like the curse of the 2500 my jaw scraped the fucking floor. Lol.

I think she’s just jealous that Jenny gets to live in a shit free kitchen where she can cook with garlic.

And even if she never got another surgery, it will still look worse and worse as the years go on.

I genuinely believe he didn’t actually quit and it’s scripted for the show. In order to bring someone over on a K1, you need to make a minimum amount of yearly income. They agreed to the K1 based on his reported income. If they get married, he will need to sponsor her green card. The minimum required income is about the same. I suppose he could try to get a family member to sponsor her, but they’d also be signing up to be financially responsible for her for 8 years.

Due to this, I 100% suspect this is for TLC drama.
