I don’t agree
In both scenarios he was acting carelessly and selfishly, even after thinking he cared for them. He could have left once he started feeling for the thraxxans. But he stayed and doomed them to death.
What’s confusing is how the viltrumites knew where he was, and how Nolan knew that they knew.
Yeah, if Nolan and mark are helping. And earth has time to build everything
Nolan can take 3 of them in a gauntlet on his own.
Cecil can send Hail Mary after viltrumites,
The immortal, war woman and red rush should be able to take out the weaker ones, individually
Mark can take the weaker ones too
And if enough heroes and villains dogpile they should be able to take out other viltrumites
Mind control apparently exist,

Atlantis can erase the eastern seaboard somehow. So they might be Able help.
He’s the strongest but they are all threats to him,
He tried to ambush them like he did in the book, but he failed
The power scale is just far different, it was definitely not his plan to be put in a coma.

He was trained by Omniman himself, that was the first hint marks path to power was different
And he’s still a low tier viltrumite at this point, only beating Thula, and not even actually doing much cosmetic damage to her.
Lucan put him down with just a finger. The viltrumites are still a big scary threat.
Thula isn’t really treated as a top tier viltrumite in the book either.
And like you said even in the book, depsite never training a day in life, he fought that viltrumite for a long time. He was capable of injuring him.
It only makes sense that a mark that’s been training over a year most of that year being with his father, would be beyond average viltrumite level or I guess really just the average.
Peeopel mention how she has much more experience than him.
But they’ll always have that much more expirence than him, he became one of the strongest viltrumites at 19, and he only started training after he turned 18 in the book.
It’s not that they get stronger as they age, they get stronger from pushing themselves.
Mark was being trained by “The great Nolan” and he’s also his son, which likely meant he was born stronger than most viltrumites
So he’s been pushing himself training with his dad, and earth in general has many threats to viltrumite level beings. Most planets in the universe have no threats to viltrumite level beings.

They still hugged, but he thought about slugging him first. And he never tried to let Nolan slide like in the comic. It was really strange how mark didn’t want to pop off until he saw Nolan with his new family,
I miss the chase though, That had so much tension. But Lucan was still pretty badass.
More lore on the years before mark became invincible was sweet to listen.
Action was great, audio sounded weird at points though, will watch with subtitles later.
Because that’s what he wanted, people don’t often think twice about getting what they want. And urath was considered viltrumite free
I don’t think viltrumites have a special fighting style
Also he’s face blind when it comes to biclops.
He thought mark was omniman with a shaved mustache.
Why would he be suspicious? the whole point was to find people that could do that to him
And at least in show continuity he was always in his Omni-man uniform when they fought.
I’m pretty sure angstroms still going to be season finale. Season 1 out everything in between in those 12 issue. They moved the guardians death to episode 1, instead of it being an episode 7.
It would be such a waste not to have Marks nemesis be his season finale villain, when his conflict is such an amazing parallel to what happened to his dad
Oliver can either be made to age slower, or time jumps can be made to happen.
This whole season is about mark not being like his father, what better way to end it, with his reaction to his first murder, and getting a new suit to show the change in his life.
Yeah, but not because they are weaker, the show has buffed every top tier to be closer to viltrumite level.
The Immortal could beat a Mark on his own. Compared to the comic immortal getting no diffed with back up.
And before anyone tries to argue this, we saw this the first episode. When Nolan saved Mark from the immortal. he only interferes when Mark is incapable of handling something himself. That’s his consistent M.O.
I bet the villains of the world will also participate in team battles And we saw how 8 maulers almost killed our Mark. And of course lots of original show only heroes will be participating, to
They’ll still kill just as many Marks, it’ll just be more dramatic. And some characters will have better showings, like the Immortal and probably Bulletproof.
Crazy thing is,

I’m hoping levy is the finale,
And that he takes the new black and blue suit, because he’s a darker hero now after having killed him.
But in universe just because art wanted something new and invincible costume was torn up in the levy fight. Which will no doubt be even more bombastic in the show.
Cecil will hopefully be saved for season 3.

Interesting change since Mark has contextualized Nolan as a bad person. But Comic mark seems to still have hope for his father.
Another good change is how Cecil finds the weakness, in the comic he just guessed and hoped it worked. In the show they are gonna be analyzing the audio to find the specific frequency that hurt’s viltrumites.
