When moving to a new country/culture, you need to adapt. She wasn’t showing any move to adapt. She freaked out over baseboards and door frames. She got fussy when asked to cover up because her pants had massive holes.

I remember there was a scene where she yelled at TJ that his culture was sexist. There’s no denying that, but she isn’t going to be the one to change it. TJ isn’t going to change his upbringing overnight.

When told bluntly that she needed to respect the culture she has moved to, she bit Yash’s head off and went on about how she needs to keep what makes her unique. Ok, Yash could’ve chosen different words. The point is I don’t think he was calling her stupid, more like she was doing/saying stupid things.

I wish she had left before the wedding. She just isn’t suited to this culture. I’m not suited to it and I grew up half in one similar.

It is a pretty hard limit for most people to have excrement in a place where food is prepared. To have it come unexpectedly is even worse. I don’t think I would have been able to keep a straight face.

I think what she’s feeling about herself being not beautiful is real. It affects tons of people, even the ones who seem the most confident.

It is really sad, I definitely have parts of myself I don’t find beautiful and imagine changing. Society is getting much better about it but humans themselves are vicious sometimes.

I really hope that Shekinah keeps her daughter away from him.
