This is the most frustrating part of this whole season and this segment: just leave him already!

Don’t put yourself into a decade of debt and misery over an overgrown child who refuses to change.

He is no catch, that is true.

But I am a little tired of seeing these nagging spouses running to a therapist because their man child from the developing world isn’t latin prince they had in their head.

“Look at what I have to put up with!! I want to speak to the manager of relationships!”

He is not what you thought, break up. Stop wasting time and energy on a man that does not want to change.

Unfortunately she fits the mold of so many Americans on this show: they seem to think the world should bend to them, and all their issues.

I dislike how pushy and manipulative she is, the fact that she throws a stop every time Igor tries to lighten the mood or do something that is communicating beyond sex, like the park date. But that isn’t the worst part; the worst part is that she, as you say, treats him like an accessory to her rather shallow life.

Whether Igor stays or goes to the US, Nikki is going to have to accept that being with him won’t fix her. She needs to understand that love involves peace, communication, understanding and patience. All the things she seems to think are good qualities in the relationship (his looks) are going to cause problems; how will she react when women 20 years younger than her are hitting on him?

In Nikki’s defense, Igor doesn’t seem to be able to make up his mind if he is attracted to her. And he should do that fast and let her get on with her life.

If this was fake, TLC should be really ashamed.

I am no fan of either of these two, they both need therapy not a partner. But that is precisely why setting up this scene doesn’t sit right with me. Jasmine’s sobbing might be horrible to listen to from a grown woman about a poorly formed conclusion she drew, but still there is a person in Jasmine and just because she is shallow and self centered doesn’t make it right for TLC to play with her feelings like that.

Maybe it could have been worded nicer, I edited it for comedic effect, but I think that seeing as she didn’t have a date yet she shouldn’t have jumped to the conclusion that she is “taking orders”, I have written messages like that when I am on the phone or doing something because I don’t want to forget.

As for the visa thing, again, I edited it for comedic effect. No, that wasn’t racist of them. A little confrontational and entitled but it is their country. Xenophobic perhaps?

This is the thing I struggle with.

Yes, his family are unwelcoming and you can say that his behavior has been anything less than welcoming (I would argue he is as bad as she is with the sharing of the nudes and the ‘sugar baby’ thing), but equally she has been just as toxic.

His family should have given him some tough love, told him this woman needs professional help and not another semi-broke old white dude from the ass-end of nowhere (no shade to people from Michigan).

The thing about the wedding was totally legit, the questions about the work visa could have been put more delicately. But also Jasmine could wake the hell up and realise that not everything is about her or what people do or don’t think of her.

Exactly, but he loves the power this gives him over Shekinah. 2500 relationships should be something to be ashamed of and learn from, but his narcissism only let’s him see it as confirmation that he is a god in mortal form and nobody can hold him accountable. Ever.

His parents should have at some point in the last 44 years.

His parents have never told him how bad his behaviour is. They have created a monster.

What in god’s name are they thinking of telling a man in his mid-40s that now is the time to start a family. Or that it is a fair expectation to place on someone that they should provide them with a granchild?

If he is planning a career as Robbie Rotten in the Turkish remake of Lazy Town he might make enough to support a child, and his appearance might make sense. Otherwise, I think he and his parents should park this baby dream.

I am not letting Shenikah completely off the hook, she chose an overgrown teenager with a body count equal to that of the travelling supporters at most soccer matches, but to expect someone in their 40s to try to have a baby is just cruel, especially when she said for the outset she didn’t want one.

Be kind.

I agree.

I thought Igor was being very sweet and healthy in the date in the park. But she took it as “we’re not naked, therefore, you do not like me”.

As you say, you only have to look at the number of surgeries and the time she spends on her appearance to realise that she doesn’t accept, therefore can’t love, herself.

I get Darcy and Stacy vibes from her.

Nikki needs to accept that people have different personalities, they have their own boundaries, interests and desires. She is more than welcome to say that someone is moving too slow for her or doesn’t interact in the way she wants, as rudely and bluntly as she likes.

But she is not entitled to shame or badger someone into sleeping with her or loving her differently.

I am really getting tired of the people on this show who send people money/buy them things and then think that is their carte blanche to treat them however they like. Love is not a transaction and people are not to be controlled by money.

The filter is a bit vein and sad to use.

But it’s what they have both done to their faces that really makes me horrified. How much do want to cling on to youth that you are willing to do that.
