“Don’t have your wedding while we are on vacation” = “They hate me”

“Are you allowed to work with your visa?” = “They hate me because I am not American”

“I found lipgloss in Gino’s car” = “He must be cheating as only a woman who is sleeping with Gino has lipgloss”

From seeing Jasmine’s interactions with Gino’s family. Im much more inclined to believe her. It’s obvious that they think she’s entirely out of Gino’s league and that there’s no way she’s there in good faith. His family definitely came off as unwelcoming

This is the thing I struggle with.

Yes, his family are unwelcoming and you can say that his behavior has been anything less than welcoming (I would argue he is as bad as she is with the sharing of the nudes and the ‘sugar baby’ thing), but equally she has been just as toxic.

His family should have given him some tough love, told him this woman needs professional help and not another semi-broke old white dude from the ass-end of nowhere (no shade to people from Michigan).

The thing about the wedding was totally legit, the questions about the work visa could have been put more delicately. But also Jasmine could wake the hell up and realise that not everything is about her or what people do or don’t think of her.

If I were a Psychology professor I would show my students all the clips with Jasmine in them in a class about Borderline Personality Disorder and have them write a paper on her. Easiest assingment ever.

And what a terrible role model for her children. She is so unstable and I can’t imagine what her influence has done.

I believe the family member said something like “how are you going to be productive and contribute to society” which idk kind of sounds like a judgmental boomer (not necessarily xenophobic but probably just coming from the perspective of Jasmine being a sugar baby… not sure which is worse)

Agreed, that comment was aggressive and obviously had the undertone of ‘we think you are using Gino for money’. The rest of the time I agree she is jumping to crazy conclusions.

That lipgloss was a total fake plot device.

Who the hell loses a whole lipgloss? And she so just happens to find it on camera?

    Nah.

C’mon now - you’re not presenting that how it actually happened…the sister in law texted her and told her “don’t have the wedding xyz days cuz we will be in Florida”. While she might not have meant that in a rude way - the text was definitely rude. Coulda worded it much better.

She was not asked if she was allowed to work. She was asked “how will you contribute to being a productive American” - racist AF.

I think Jasmine is an absolute psychopath but actually agreed with her stance in regards to both of those things.

Maybe it could have been worded nicer, I edited it for comedic effect, but I think that seeing as she didn’t have a date yet she shouldn’t have jumped to the conclusion that she is “taking orders”, I have written messages like that when I am on the phone or doing something because I don’t want to forget.

As for the visa thing, again, I edited it for comedic effect. No, that wasn’t racist of them. A little confrontational and entitled but it is their country. Xenophobic perhaps?
