This might be an unpopular take but imo Wanda is an extremely boring character. There’s nothing that actually appeals to me about her other than maybe her design and her ability to fly, and even that was barely used. C is the perfect place for her, she’s neither great nor terrible.
What did Sextina Aquafina ever do to ya?
This might sound bleak but this is why I’m not having kids. I don’t trust myself to be a good father and to not be like my parents, my mother especially. I don’t know if I ended up as a good person, but the least I can do is just step out and walk away.
Also the stretched human wojak faces just about made me shit myself laughing so there’s that.
Neal McBeal. Hate popularity is still popularity!
Fish out of Water. It’s positive and calming and has a lot to look at.
Never thought I’d see an actual Beatrice apologist in the wild
Not really, but Mr PB on the other hand…
I’m certain Herb 100% had both romantic and sexual feelings towards Bojack but I really don’t think Bojack ever remotely saw Herb in that way, even after Herb’s attempted kiss. Imo during their best times Bojack only ever saw him as a close friend.
No and I hold to the theory that part of her letter (there was a 2nd page iirc) was a restraining order
Maybe my favorite ep ever. It always felt so melancholic but hopeful to me. It has some of my favorite gags. And it’s one of the first times that Bojack does a genuinely good thing this early in the show.
He 100% did it on purpose to distract everyone from the trainwreck of Bojack’s “reconciliation” with Neal and stop their conversation before it gets even more embarrassing.
I really don’t like this whole victim angle. By this logic Bojack is also a victim, and so is just about everyone in the show. I actually find this take to be kind of misogynistic because you only hear it in relation to the women in the show (Diane, Sarah Lynn, etc) which just robs them of agency. Imo it goes against the show’s entire message. It’s not the bad things that happened to you, it’s you.
Fish out of Water. It’s beautiful, hypnotic, weird and melancholy and yet it still makes time for some of the best jokes and animal-based comedy moments in the series. The sea has always been a place of comfort and escape for me and in the same vein the episode is an escape from the darkness of the show where for just a brief moment Bojack can be a good guy and experience being part of a happy family, being a positive role model, truly caring for something outside of himself. But it inevitably all has to end and we have to go back to reality.
Also as an autistic person Bojack’s inability to communicate and to find the precious words to make or break a relationship really resonated with me.
Fair assessment. I mean I certainly wouldn’t date her but I think she was the best Bojack could have done given the situation. And she discouraged his bad behavior in the best way possible, by not giving him the reaction he was asking for
